I woke up on the green couch, staring at the brown drapes illuminated in front of the bay windows. I must have slept at Ronnie's house. What happened between the cafe and the sunrise is beyond my grasp at the moment. All I could do was throw on my shirt and ride the Shoelace Express back to the apartments. I made bacon and eggs when I got home, with some toast for good measure. I brushed my teeth and set out for some business calls.
